Q. Reporting for non-maintaining of edit log in audit report for FY 2023-24

Question

From FY 2023-24, in the audit report, the auditor is required to report under "Report on Other Legal and Regulatory Requirements". But how to report if audit log is not maintained?

"Based on our examination which included test checks, the company has not used an accounting software with a feature of recording audit trail (edit log) facility for maintaining its books of account."

Will the above para suffice or OM or EOM para is also required? Or this calls for a qualified opinion?

Please refer to implementation guide on audit trail reporting under rule 11(g) issued by ICAI. It gives the reporting formats too.
